Thank you so much for sharing this last journey of Shelley's. Shelley was a good friend and wonderful challenge to me when I was a student at CCS and after as I struggled with many issues in church ministry. I'm grateful for the strong memories of her. I have not met you, Diane, but grieve with you in your loss and am grateful for the faithful, loving care which you so evidently blessed Shelley with and for your life together. I'm sure the time of grief will be very hard, but it sounds as though you have close friends and family to support you. May our God bless you and keep you through the coming months and years. I echo Penelope's comments, thank you for sharing Shelley's journey with us. I knew Shelley only briefly through the Women's Employment Outreach.I was impressed with her wisdom and spirit from the moment we met. I had the privilege of being on a retreat with WEO and spent one great weekend at Oceanstone in Shelley's company, I loved listening to her stories, she had such great ones - what a life she lived.
Although we have not met Diane I too am thankful Shelley had such great love and care. May you be blessed with all the love and support you need in your time ahead, My prayers are with you . Toni White

My heart goes out to you Diane -- and to each of the circle of women. What a blessing Shelley has been -- and continues to be -- for so many people. AND what a wonderful blessing circle and service. Thank you for sharing it -- I have tears in my eyes as I write this to you. And a spirit of thankfulness for the strength, beauty, caring, and support of this wonderful group of women. Love from Colorado. Ellen (IE)

Diane with one "n". My thoughts are with you. How I will miss seeing Shelley run through the neighborhood. Just as I would manage to convince myself that I was too tired to run, Shelley would come plodding around the corner. Tired or not, just seeing her would get me out the door!

Thank you so much for allowing us to follow the journey that you and Shelley have shared these past months. I knew Shelley when I was a "mature" student at A.S.T., and admired her as a strong and caring woman whose spirit touched the lives of many. As you continue your journey through the difficult days ahead, please know that you will be in my prayers and also in the prayers of many others. Pauline Allsop

Hi Diane;
There are some people who surprise me when they 'yield their place in the universe'. These are strong loving people who deeply connect with others and make a difference by being them. They make such a mark in life that it seems as though they should just go on living and making a difference. Shelley was one of those people to me. I know that she would not realize how deeply she touched my life because she reached out to so many with a sincere caring. It was not that she made a special effort for my sake, she was just being herself. When I was at AST my mother became critically ill. Shelley knew something was wrong and took me aside. You know, she was the only one I felt safe to cry in front of...and I did. Her advice and understanding allowed me to do what had to be done. I'll never forget that. Ever. And so Shelley does live on, doesn't she. In all her caring ways that we hang
onto...through all the differences that she has made.
God be with you now Diane. May the great Divine love hold you when you need holding, strengthen you when you feel weak and accompany you throughout.

I too appreciate being kept up to date. You have been in my heart and prayers throughout these months. I am touched beyond words by the blessing that your friends have been and I am sure continue to be.
