Moments in the Journey

Three pictures for you: a "big" conversation with Rachel and Lucas (grandchildren) earlier this month who are with their mom; friend Leah - who comes regularly with the gift of healing massage; and a morning in bed with tea and the newspaper.

Hi Diane and Shelley. It is Darrell Johnston. The husband of a client of mine in Newfoundland was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost two years ago.
I had them out to dinner last week. Jim is on a very strict diet which he credits for his feeling quite good over the last number of months. We prearranged for the restaurant to bring in foods that he could eat.
He told me that the diet gets quite boring but he prefers it to his other option, feeling miserable.
I asked him to forward the details of the diet and here is his response.
If you would like to connect with him just let me know and I will pass along his email address.
Love and prayers from Nancy, Darrell, Mackenzie, Shannon and Meaghan

The diet is referred to as the "flaxseed oil and cottage cheese" diet. This treatment protocol was developed by Dr. Johanna Budwig and there are reports over many years of people who have been helped. Google "Johanna Budwig" or the phrase "flaxseed oil and cottage cheese diet" and lots of information will come up. A very helpful and invaluable Internet support group (FlaxSeedOil2) can be found in the Yahoo Health Groups. It is a very active group, with lots of helpful members and provides great tips, information and support for healing cancer. I know that the "Budwig Protocol" has helped me greatly. The URL for the FlaxSeedOil2 group is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/FlaxSeedOil2/

Two books that I found of special interest when I had to terminate standard medical treatment (because of severe damage caused by the chemo): Outsmart your Cancer by Tanya Harter Pierce, and Cancer: Step Outside the Box, by Ty M. Bollinger. Best wishes to your friend.
